Multi washed silica sand & Rubber Chips This general purpose surface is recommended for small to medium stable yards. It also needs regular maintenance. The quality of the sand is the most important element to a sand and rubber surface and only sand from Surrey is recommended for this purpose as any other sand with allow the rubber to be lost down through the sand as you need the sand to compact tightly underneath to create a firm base. Lately we have found that planning consent becomes more of a problem because of the black colour and environmental issues with this product.
Stable Track - Standard Premix This is multi washed equestrian silica sand with a short polyester fibre, with small particles of rubber to help bind the total mix together. This surface can alleviate jarring the horse's joints, unlike some dead surfaces, and has a minimal kick back, it is an economic surface with good characteristics.
